This course promotes an understanding of how issues of equality and culture impacts upon care provision. It aims to:
- increase understanding of diversity in society and specifically in community settings
- develop understanding of how different groups are affected or disadvantaged by direct and indirect discrimination in both society and in community settings
- inform staff how to apply knowledge of diversity throughout their work including in person centred planning
- apply this knowledge to a range of case studies and practical examples
