In 2008 The Royal Parks Foundation created a spectacular Half Marathon in central London – the first and only one of its kind. The stunning 13.1 mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’ Park, and Kensington Gardens.

This award-winning event was initially set up as an annual fundraising initiative, raising sustainable funds for the Royal Parks Foundation to support London’s eight Royal Parks, and enabling charities of all sizes to be involved in a major challenge event. Over the last nine years the event has exceeded all expectation in raising over £30million for around 750 UK charities.

This year you can experience the tenth anniversary of this unique occasion whilst also making London a great place to grow older - by running on behalf of Age UK London!

Taking place on 8th October 2017, this stunning central London half marathon, showcases the iconic sights of London through four Royal Parks and past some of the capital's most historic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Horse Guards Parade and the Royal Albert Hall.

Although undulating in parts, the course is not hilly and is great for either experienced or first time half marathon runners.
