Virgin London Marathon 2013

YouthNet and Age UK have teamed up with a mission in mind – ending loneliness and isolation for those in later life. We will recruit young volunteers to deliver IT training to older people and get them up to speed with the digital world.

Whether it’s saving money shopping online, capturing meaningful moments on a digital camera, or stocking up with a supermarket home delivery, we can help older people stay in touch with loved ones and the fast-paced world around them. Fundraising and training support

As part of the team you will help us support some of the most isolated older people in the UK. We'd love to have you on board and as part of our support package you will receive:

• regular newsletters,
• a personalised running vest and t-shirt,
• training and fundraising support by email and on the phone,
• the loudest cheers on the day at multiple points along the course,
• a dedicated training day with our running team,
• a post-race party with goodie bags, buffet food and a massage to soothe your aching muscles!
