Advocacy Coordinator

Hours: 21 hours per week (Monday, Thursday & Friday, although there is some scope for flexibility)
Rate of pay: £10,734.00
Department: Information, Advice and Advocacy

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can support the delivery of specialist advocacy services to older people in Norfolk. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for providing and through the provision of volunteer support, a high quality Advocacy Service to older people and their carers.
  • Undertaking a caseload of complex advocacy cases and provide continuity of service.
  • To work in partnership with organisations and stakeholders across the voluntary, statutory and health sectors.

Care Team Leader

Hours: 24 hours per week
Rate of pay: £8.50 -  £9.47 per hour
Department: Grays Fair Court community hub

We are currently recruiting for a Care Team Leader in our community care facility at Grays Fair Court. You will lead a team of care staff providing a high quality service to older people.

You will need a detailed understanding of the needs of older people, the ability to identify changes in well-being, the use of care plans and risk assessments to identify and provide support and care requirements and the ability to liaise with Health, other professionals and carers/relatives is required.

Contract type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistants to deliver front-line care in our respite facility at Grays Fair Court.  You will work within a care team providing high quality care to older people, ensuring that the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of service users are met as well as the basic values of individuality, privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, respect and partnership. 

Key responsibilities include

  • Assisting people using the service with their daily personal care needs
  • Acting upon individual care plans and keep them updated
  • Promoting a person centered service, offering choice, encouragement and a flexible and creative approach 
  • Assisting the care team leaders with the admission and discharge of people using the service

Staff Bank

Bank staff are required to work flexibly to cover annual leave, sickness and staff training. The Staff Bank provides a flexible way of working which could lead to permanent hours within Age UK Norfolk.
