Care Assistants

3x posts available – Full and Part time positions

£7.65 - £7.87 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistants to deliver front-line care in our respite facility at Grays Fair Court.  You will work within a care team providing high quality care to older people, ensuring that the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of service users are met as well as the basic values of individuality, privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, respect and partnership. 

Key responsibilities include

  • Assisting people using the service with their daily personal care needs
  • Acting upon individual care plans and keep them updated
  • Promoting a person centered service, offering choice, encouragement and a flexible and creative approach 
  • Assisting the care team leaders with the admission and discharge of people using the service

Home Support Team Leader
Location: Grays Fair Court

 

30 Hours per week

Monday – Friday

 

Responsibilities

  • To undertake home visits to potential new customers, confirming their support requirements and completing relevant assessments
  • To be responsible for completing a rolling annual programme review of customer's assessments, ensuring we offer choice with a flexible and creative approach to every customer.
  • To manage and monitor the work of support givers and be the first point of contact for day-to-day operational support
  • To provide practical line management support and monitoring to all new support givers
  • To have a flexible approach to working patterns, providing cover for staff illness and annual leave

Successful applicants must

  • Must be able to drive and have access to own vehicle
  • Have experience of working within a support service setting in the community
  • Have experience of managing a staff team and monitoring performance
  • Have knowledge and ability to use IT including Microsoft programmes
  • Have an ability to provide direction for the Support Team

The purpose of the Staff Bank is to ensure that our staffing levels and the quality of service we provide is maintained at all times within our Community Support Centres throughout Norfolk.

Bank staff are required to work flexibly to cover annual leave, sickness and staff training. The Staff Bank provides a flexible way of working which could lead to permanent hours within Age UK Norfolk.
