Location: Trafford - Monday in Hale, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday in Urmston and Wednesdays in Sale.

Days/Hours: 
21hrs p/wk 

Salary: £13.45/hr

This role is an exciting addition to our Specialist Dementia Day Care team, and we are looking for a reliable, motivated Kitchen Assistant to help strengthen our team delivering high-quality support and care to people experiencing memory loss across Trafford.

Role summary:

  • Food hygiene certificate Level 2 and ability to apply the FSA Safer Foods guidance.
  • Relevant experience of working with communities in a social care, health, education, or voluntary and community sectors.
  • Maintain good professional relationships with service users, and their carers.
  • Ensure the kitchen, equipment and food preparation area is clean, hygienic and remains operational.
  • Be aware of service user allergies and special diets that may be required, as directed by the Care team.
  • Prepare pre-cooked, lunchtime meals and afternoon refreshments.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked to safe temperature ranges and logs are maintained.
  • Ordering and prompt storage of delivered supplies.
  • Load the dishwasher and/or wash-up by hand when required, ensuring washed items are clean and dry before storing.
  • Dispose of rubbish in the appropriate re-cycling dispenser.
  • Load and empty the washing machine of linen, as required.
