Women at tableAge UK Thanet, formally known as Age Concern Margate, has been improving life for older people in the area for over 60 years.

Our mission and vision is to improve later life for everyone in the Thanet area by providing information and support to help older people cope and adjust to the needs and changes of their current environment.

We aim to do this by providing day opportunities and clubs in our Day Centre and at other venues to facilitate social contact and stimulation.  This helps to reduce isolation and loneliness by maintaining and restoring independence.

Advice and Information

Age UK Thanet provides free, confidential information and advice on a wide range of issues for people aged over 50, their families and carers.  Our services can help with a variety of issues, including: understanding allowances and benefits, help with completing claim forms and housing and community care issues.
