Trusted Trader Database

The Trusted Trader Scheme has been developed by Age UK Bradford District to help make life easier for older people, their carers, families and friends who are looking for products and person centred services. We work in partnership with local tradesmen, contractors and companies to connect you with reliable and trustworthy providers.

In developing the Trusted Trader's Scheme, Age UK Bradford District has tried to remove some of the risk involved in finding a reliable contractor/company to carry out works.

We perform regulatory checks on all our registered traders, contractors and companies detailed in our database. We also ask that all participants registered with the scheme sign up to ourTrusted Trader Charter.

We ensure all traders, contractors and companies participating in the Trusted Trader Scheme have the following:

  • A current Public Liability Insurance Certificate
  • Can provide two references from satisfied customers
  • Declaration of criminal convictions and a basic disclosure check is carried out before registration on to the scheme is accepted
  • Any relevant registration with regulatory bodies or relevant certifications associated with the services offered
  • Have undergone an interview with a member of our team
