Our befriending service provides companionship and social contact to older people who are either living alone in their own home, or who live in care homes but have few or no visitors.
Our volunteer befrienders usually visit once a week for an hour or two, to share a chat and perhaps a cup of tea. Volunteers are introduced to the older person by a member of staff, and we try to match people with similar interests or outlooks. However, they cannot assist with tasks in the home, personal care, or financial matters.
For more information, please contact our Information and Advice Service using the details below. The Befriending Service is supported by a grant from Droitwich Town Council in 2018.
