A Musical Silver Sunday!

Published on 04 October 2020 07:10 AM

Silver Sunday is an annual day that celebrates older people across the United Kingdom. Last year saw Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire host a quiz to raise vital funds to support older people across the two counties.

Today on Silver Sunday Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire and The English Symphony Orchestra have come together to bring you beautiful virtual performances to enjoy safely in your own home.

The English Symphony Orchestra have collaborated with the pupils of Holmer Church of England Academy, to bring you their own beautiful version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Plus many other performances from members of the English Symphony Orchestra collaborating with Coldwells House and more!

Why not bake a cake and relax with a nice cup of tea to enjoy whilst accompanied by this delightful music! You can view the performances here all for free: https://www.eso.co.uk/carehomevideos/

The English Symphony Orchestra are appealing for donations to help them to perform in care homes and hospices (Covid-19 safe), if you have enjoyed today’s performances please do consider donating: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/eso-carehomes-2020
