Creativity Parcels

Do you fancy getting creative from the comfort of your own home this winter? Well we have just the thing for you! Together with Wychavon District Council and Spare Room Arts, Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire are pleased to tell you about your opportunity to get crafty at home with Creativity Parcels.

If you are 65 or over and live in the Wychavon District area Spare Room Arts can send you out regular creativity parcels for you to get crafty from the comfort of your own home.

The parcels will contain Autumnal crafts all with instructions from Sarah at Spare Room Arts about how to complete your crafts at home. You will be completing them alongside others also getting crafty in their own homes.

All parcels are sterilised and risk assessed to ensure they are Covid-19 safe.

Your first creativity parcel is free for you to try, all you have to do is register your interest with Sarah from Spare Room Arts for an Autumn Creativity Parcel by 30^th October 2020. “I just wanted to say a big thank you for the wonderful creativity packs that you very kindly posted to me during the lockdown period.

I’m really grateful to you, they were so carefully thought out, with easy and fun instructions. I’ve actually sent the cards with dried flowers to friends who had birthdays during the lockdown, as I was unable to go out and buy birthday cards.”

This project was started to support older adults who had previously attended a local Wychavon arts group. From April to July 2020 the pilot project supported 19 older adults, in total 114 packages were sent out across the district. The parcels which have already been sent out contained crafts such as pressed flower card making, lavender bags, bunting, felting, and growing strawberry seeds.

Unfortunately, this project is currently running just in the Wychavon District but is hoping to expand so please keep checking back for updated information or contact us.
