Carers Week is here!

What is Carers Week?

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

At Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire we are passionate and committed to supporting carers through providing a variety of support services both over the phone and face to face.

As with many charities, the Coronavirus pandemic challenged us in many ways but we have continued to support older people, their families and carers through regular phone calls and emails.

We are pleased to say that a lot of our face-to-face services are now back up and running including both of our day centres in Hereford and Droitwich which provide respite for many carers across the two counties.

As part of Carers Week 2021 we have produced a digital booklet that highlights our services which may be useful for carers.

You can view the booklet below and also on our useful information page.
