Warm Homes success

Information and advice – great results from the warm Homes project:

The Living Well Team have been working extremely hard on our Warm Homes Programme which runs from October to March. This involves completing benefit checks for our older adult population and ensuring that people are aware of the Warm Homes Discount. With ever increasing energy costs, this is a vital piece of work in order for us to support as many older adults during the winter months as we possibly can. The contract was overall targeted for 150 sessions to be completed within the 6 month period. The Living Well Team completed an amazing 187 sessions during this time which amounts to a potential £2,294 in additional income. The total estimated benefits supported with, for this programme alone, was £284,732. 87% of those that we supported through this programme are in or are at risk of fuel poverty so this programme is incredibly important in supporting those most vulnerable.
