Fundraising comes in many different shapes and sizes. This volunteer role is in support of our fundraising team, helping by taking part in bucket collections (wearing Age UK branded t-shirt and lanyard).

Main tasks include:

  • Talking to people
  • Taking funds, card/cash machine
  • Giving information
  • Representing Age UK H & W

(Expenses can be claimed)

What will I get out of it?

- help support the charity with fundraising
- build upon skills such as communication skills.
- receive full training and have the opportunity to attend other training courses
-be part of a friendly team of staff and volunteers

Person specification:      

  • A can do and positive attitude.
  • Enjoy meeting and talking to new people.
  • A willingness to volunteer at the weekend occasionally.

Supervision and support:             

Induction: you will receive training, and an induction

While in role: As part of your volunteer supervisions, your staff contact will check-in on how you’re finding the role and give you the opportunity to flag any additional training or support you feel you need.

Optional: you can attend network meetings with other Volunteers to learn from and share best practice.

Time commitment: Ideally 2 hours minimum.

Accessibility statement: Locations will be out in the community (fully risk assessed) and will be discussed with volunteer.

As a volunteer at Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire you will receive a full induction, including our in-house certificated Bitesize training, and a DBS check where necessary.
