Age UK Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge has partnered with NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies to offer a dedicated referral service making it easier for you to access the support you need.

We’ll guide you step-by-step through the Talking Therapies referral process, ensuring you feel supported throughout.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀?

Talking Therapies is a free NHS service that offers a range of evidence-based psychological treatments to help you better understand and manage your mood. This support may be helpful if you’re feeling:

- Anxious or overwhelmed
- Low or depressed
- Lonely or withdrawn
- Stuck and unsure where to turn

Through therapy, you’ll gain practical tools and coping strategies to support your mental wellbeing, both now and in the future. Everyone has different needs, and therapy can be accessed in a variety of ways, including:

- Secure video sessions
- Text-based therapy
- Webinars
- Telephone appointments
- In-person sessions

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗹𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁

Waiting for therapy to begin can be difficult. As a part of this dedicated referral service, you’ll receive monthly check-ins from our team to see how you’re feeling and offer support.

You can also access other Age UK MST services during this period, to help ensure you feel supported and connected whilst you wait for therapy sessions to begin.
