Whether you're having a clear out or after a bargain, every penny we raise at Longton Charity Shop helps us to continue supporting local older people.

Through every penny of the proceeds from our charity shop, we can help older people make more of life and contribute towards a thriving local community.

What we stock

We have a great range of items in store, our speciality is clothing and accessories, such as:

  • Hats
  • Bags
  • Gloves
  • Scarves
  • Shoes
  • Ladies clothing including jackets and dresses
  • Mens clothing including coats and suits
  • Small electrical items

Donations

We really appreciate your support in providing stock for us to sell. If you're having a clear out and have some items to give away, please make sure that they are clean, without holes or rips.

All donations must be left bagged or boxed outside the front of the shop, but only during our opening hours. Do not leave donations outside the shop at any other time than during the opening hours as they may be cleared away and disposed of by other agencies.

All donated bagged or boxed items will be quarantined in a separate part of the shop for 48 hours. Items will then be steam cleaned before being put out for sale.

We do accept donations of small electrical items in good working order. We regret that we cannot accept large electrical items such as fridges, freezers, washing machines or other large appliances due to space. You can contact us to check your electrical item is suitable before bringing it to our shop.

Larger amounts of bagged donations can be received by prior arrangement, and people can contact the shop to arrange this by calling 01782 598373. Please note that furniture will not be accepted.
