What do we do at the Gilbert Richards Centre?

The Centre is open to anyone and offers a wide variety of activities to interest you, provide friendship and fun alongside learning new skills. Many are in group settings with a leader. 

The Centre is run by volunteers and is wheelchair friendly.

We have provided some information below but please do contact us for more information and costs.

  • Timetable 2026

    What's On:
    • Creative Groups - Pottery, sculpture, painting, knitting, sewing, and more, suitable for anyone who wants to get creative.
    • Woodworking - Friendly sessions where you can learn and develop woodworking skills.
    • Digital Inclusion Courses -  Learn essential digital skills at your own pace and build confidence using your computer or digital device.
    • Friendship groups - A welcoming space to meet others, share interests and enjoy friendly conversation in a supportive environment.

    Weekly Courses:

    • Computer Clubs - Learn at your own pace, get help with projects, and enjoy building your digital skills.
      Tuesdays, Thursday & Friday

     

    • IT Club: iPads, Tablets & Mobiles  - Develop essential skills like using apps, staying safe online, and managing your digital life.
      Wednesday
