Events Volunteer
We are looking for friendly, caring individuals to volunteer as Events volunteers to assist us at any events we may be holding or attending across Hull and East Yorkshire
Personal qualities and experience for this role:
- Enjoy conversation and listening
- Understands the issues that some older people may face
- Be trustworthy, reliable and committed
- Have a sense of humour!
Training:
An induction session will prepare you for your role
How much time is involved?
Our events are spread across the year and the time you can give is flexible to suit you. Some events we host ourselves such as our Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. Other events we attend such as information fairs. For both types of events, we give plenty of notice to see if you are available.
Tasks:
- Helping to prepare the stand ready for the event
- Welcoming visitors at events
- Sharing information regarding the work, services and events Age UK do
- Assisting in the preparation for the event such as creating notice boards or making Christmas shoeboxes
- Taking contact details of potential partners or new volunteers
- Maintain confidentiality
- Follow the organisations policies and guidelines
- If there is any change to your circumstances that may affect your volunteering, let us know
