Thank you to all our supporters who took part in the survey and gave us the insight on whether they had experienced ageism or not. Over half of the people that responded (51%) had experienced ageism always, often or sometimes in their daily life. Based on this we have launched the campaign. Find our more on our campaign page.
Age UK London is part of the Age UK network but we are an independent charity relying on donations and funding to continue our important work. We are the only charity that campaigns on behalf of older Londoners. We campaign for specific change to improve the lives of older Londoners. We also work to ensure that their experiences, needs and contributions are heard and taken into account by decision makers.
We’ve launched London Loos – a call for better public toilet provision in the capital. London’s lack of toilets is a serious public health concern and it is already disadvantaged groups of Londoners.
Age UK London are campaigning against the early weekday morning suspension of travel concessions because it penalises older Londoners with no choice about when and how they travel.
Age UK London are campaigning for urgent action to address the profound challenges of digital exclusion impacting the daily lives of thousands of older Londoners.
