Mental Health in Later Life

Mental health problems affect one in four of adults, yet for many this remains a difficult topic of discussion, even for those who are not managing a mental health problem. 

Such conversations are important across all demographics, but older people are especially vulnerable to mental health problems - particularly those that are isolated.

As the UK population continues to age rapidly, more and more older people will be in need of both mental and physical care – not least because mental health problems can impact upon one’s physical health and vice versa.

With this in mind, Age UK has created a short video showing a number of different ways to look after your mental wellbeing in later life.
