Age Allies Programme Officer (Ref. AAPO)

Age UK London has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Campaigns team in a well respected pan-London charity.
Our Age Allies Programme funded by City Bridge Trust aims to influence a wide range of organisations in London to make themselves age friendly. The Programme Officer will have a key role in leading workshops, supporting and motivating volunteers and promoting the programme through direct contacts. The programme focusses on age friendliness workshops with staff from private sector companies, public bodies and others.
This post will work with three main communities of stakeholders;-
1) Older Volunteer Age Allies who will assist with running and participating in the short burst interactive events in companies, schools and communities
2) Age Allies and Volunteer Champions who will be recruited from organisations that agree to hold the Age Ally events to disseminate them further
3) Organisations (public sector, companies, school, community organisations) willing to host Age Ally events
We are looking for someone experienced in volunteer support and outreach, who can work well with people at different levels in private and public sector organisations, with excellent interpersonal, communications and IT skills.
The hours are 21 per week, located in London (Euston area).
Annual Salary: £17,016 pro rata (Full-time £28,360 per annum)
