Wrose Autumn Fashion Show

On Friday 7th October Age UK Bradford District hosted a fundraising Fashion Show at their Community Hub in Wrose with volunteer models wearing clothes donated to the charity which were sold during the evening.

There were three Autumn themed catwalk shows; ‘Autumn attire’, ‘Winter days out’ and ‘Christmas party nights’ and local business Damart showed their support and donated a number of outfits from their thermal collection for the fashion show.

Mark Rounding, Chief Executive, said:

“It was exciting to see the return of one of our most popular events. Our fashion shows have been such enjoyable evenings in the past and are a great way for people to show their support for our organisation and help raise some money that will go to help in our work with older people across Bradford District.

The evening went so well, selling out and everyone had a good time. We were really garteful for the support of Damart and we raised over £1000, which is an amazing amount. Thanks to all that came and supported the event”

Ben Phillips, Head of Ecommerce at Damart said: “As a business, we’re passionate about helping older people, so we were delighted to be able to support Age UK Bradford’s Autumn Fashion Show by donating a range of outfits from this year’s ready to wear thermal collection, which are perfect as the colder weather sets in.

“As a local charity, we have witnessed the vital work that they do to offer companionship, advice and support to older people who need it most. It was great to see our latest thermal collection up on the catwalk and we hope the event was a great success.”

All proceeds from money raised go to Age UK Bradford District, contributing to their work supporting older people in the area.
