Mayor’s Charity of the Year

Published on 20 June 2019 11:23 AM

We have received some great news that the new Mayor of Bewdley, Councillor John Byng, has chosen Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest to be one of his charities of the year

In response to the news, Sam Humphray, CEO of Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest said:
"As CEO of Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest, I would like to say how very grateful we are to Councillor Byng for choosing Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest as one of his Mayor’s Charities of the Year.  As a local, self-funding charity, we are committed to providing support and services for people aged 50+ living in Bewdley and across North Worcestershire.  Older people play such an important role in our communities, and we look forward to working with Councillor Byng and the Town Council over the coming year, to help raise our profile and ensure that local support is available.  In addition, we will look at how we can create a more inclusive and ‘age-friendly’ community."
