We are regularly being told that we need to be more active but it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start. Thanks to the support of our amazing members and instructors, here is the next in our series of short videos giving more of an insight into our Exercise and Tai Chi classes and to help encourage North Worcestershire to ‘Move More’! With our range of sessions, our Move More programme not only about empowering and supporting older adults to keep physically but also provides invaluable social connections. Looking after your health as you age is vital and physical activity is one of the best ways to improve mobility, brain function and quality of life.

With exercises that can be done both seated and standing, a key factor of our classes is, that in addition to supporting physical health, they are also fun!

The development of our More More sessions is currently being supported by a grant from the Worcestershire County Council’s Healthy Worcestershire Programme, whose representative’s recently visited our Matchborough Move More class

Healthy Worcestershire is focusing upon improving the county’s health and wellbeing. As part of the programme, Worcestershire County Council is also offering free weekly sessions run in local venues within the heart of communities offering:

  • strength and balance programmes
  • healthy lifestyle advice
  • community safety information
