Notice of Changes to Service Charges
We would like to notify all clients and people that we support, that starting on April 1, 2026, we will be adjusting our service charges for Active Living Support.
As you will be aware, we never take these decisions lightly, and it follows a comprehensive review of our costs, and emphasises our commitment to compensating our staff in line with the Real Living Wage and addressing the increased National Insurance contributions.
We are dedicated to recognising the excellent work our teams provide and ensuring fair compensation, staff wellbeing, and long-term retention.
To continue delivering a safe, reliable, and high-quality service, we will implement the following changes effective Tuesday, April 1, 2026:
· Homecare services (inc. cleaning, shopping, companionship, laundry, and home administration) will increase from £22 per hour to £24 per hour.
· Gardening services will increase from £22 per hour to £25 per hour.
The higher rate for gardening services reflects the additional costs associated with providing outdoor services, such as ongoing safety management, increased equipment expenses, and the additional training and supervision required for gardening tasks.
These adjustments will also help us manage rising operational costs, including travel and general overheads.
We understand that any increase in charges can present challenges for the people we support, and we want to assure you that we continually assess and enhance our working practices to keep our services as fair and cost-effective as possible during these difficult financial times.
If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please feel free to reach out to Rebecca Kevern on rebecca.kevern@ageukcornwall.org.uk
