Are you aged over 55 and would like to learn how to email, browse the internet or talk to loved ones online?
Over 300 local people have completed the course so far and our classes have helped people to book holidays and tickets online, contact loved ones and interact with others on social networking sites.
What do we offer?
If you are thinking about buying a computer/tablet or already own one, but are not sure how to get started, then our free classes are perfect for you.
you will learn basic but essential skills such as mouse control, internet browsing, keyboard skills and how to create your own email address.
All that we ask is that you are over the age of 55 and are a Maidstone Borough Council taxpayer.
When are the sessions?
Each Computer class takes place in our Mill Street office computer suite twice a week over a three-week period and can accommodate up to four people. A total of six sessions.
Each tablet class takes place in our Mill Street office computer suite twice a week over a two-week period and can accommodate up to four people. A total of four sessions.
How long are the lessons?
Each session lasts around 2 hours, a total of four hours per week is expected.
How do I access this service?
Whether you are calling for yourself or on behalf of someone you know, you will need to complete a referral form and register with the service. Please ensure you have the persons permission before making a referral for somebody else.
