WE ARE BACK!

As of Monday 19th April 2021 we are re-opening our Gravesend and Meadowside Centre's with a slight change in how we will be running. We are introducing our new Wellbeing Services on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at our Gravesend Centre and on Tuesday and Thursday at our Meadowside Centre. Our Dementia Hub will be run at our Meadowside Centre on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For more information about these services, please check their specified tabs under 'Our Services'. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and support during these difficult times.

Our Services

  • Fresh Meals Service

    Our Fresh Meal Delivery service provides a mid-day 2 course meal delivered hot ready to eat on delivery, cooked fresh from our five-star kitchen in Gravesend.

     

  • Home Support Service

    Our Home Support Service provides assistance to help keep you independent at home for longer. Whether it's befriending, cleaning, gardening or help with shopping, we are here to help.

  • Bathing Plus Service

    Our fully trained staff are able to provide our Bathing Plus Service either in the comfort of your own home or in one of our centres.

     

  • Simply Nails Service

    Our Simply Nails Service provides a toenail and fingernail cutting service in the comfort of your own home or in one of our centres.

     

  • Dementia Hub

    Our Dementia Hub service runs at our Meadowside Centre on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The service provides support for those living with dementia and respite for carers.

  • Wellbeing Services

    Our Wellbeing Services runs from our Gravesend Centre on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from our Meadowside Centre on a Tuesday and Thursday. The services provide a fun, friendly and supportive environment. A 2 course hot meal is provided and transport to and from our centres is available.

     

  • Wheelchair Hire Service

    Our Wheelchair Hire Service can provide you with a temporary wheelchair that can be hired on a daily/weekly basis.

     

  • Information and Advice Service

    Our Information and Advice Service provide assistance in identifying eligible benefits, how to claim and are able to direct you to other helpful services.

    This service is available through the 'Age UK National Helpline'

                              Hive Hope Food Bank

We have partnered up with the wonderful 'Hive Hope Food Bank' who will be running their mobile food bank from our car park at our Gravesend Centre (Age UK North West Kent, The Fleming Resource Centre, Clarence Row, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 1HJ) every Saturday between 2pm - 3pm.

Hive Hope is a small charity created to provide hope to the residents of North Northfleet and surrounding areas. There are 7600 residents in Northfleet North, 4.3% are unemployed which compares with an average of 2.9% in Gravesham. Their primary aim is to provide food for local people in crisis. They have incredibly fed over 13,000 local people to date. Hive Hope rely on the generosity of our volunteers and donors to keep their work going.

Hive Hope also works with other organizations to signpost clients to a whole range of support services including job searches, benefits advice, CV writing, debt advice and budgeting help.
