Age UK Oldham are expanding our well established shops portfolio by opening a fantastic new shop in Milnrow, Rochdale. 

We are looking to recruit a shop manager to join us in this new venture and become part of our dedicated team.

You will offer great customer service and have fantastic communication and show stopping selling skills. With a ‘can do’ attitude you will smash sales targets, recruit and train a friendly team of volunteers and help to make our new shop a ‘go to’ destination for the local community.

Hours:       

21 hours per week, 7 hours per day, to be worked on Monday, Thursday and Friday, from 9am to 4.30pm  - opening hours subject to change

Salary:       

Salary points 20 to 21

£13,519 to £14,012 actual / £12.38 to £12.83 per hour depending on experience

No day is the same, the role involves:

  • Inspirational leadership
  • Developing others
  • Good eye for detail
  • Knowledge of clothes designers/manufacturers
  • Reasonable I.T skills - all till systems are computerised
  • Ideally with previous retail experience preferred but not essential

As an Age UK Oldham Shop Manager you will be fulfilling an essential role ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our new charity shop. Organising and motivating a team of volunteers, you will maintain our first-rate standards within the shops.
