Welcome! Age UK North Yorkshire Coast & Moors is a local independent charity, serving the needs of local people aged 50+. In the county of North Yorkshire we operate in the Borough of Scarborough, and the whole District of Ryedale; this includes Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Pickering, Malton, Helmsley, and Kirbymoorside.
Whilst we are part of the larger Age UK family, we are governed by our own Board of Trustees and responsible for creating our own income. All the money raised is spent locally on services for people aged 50+ who live in our area. We rely on the generosity of the local community, funders and people like you. This helps us to keep operating services that are so vital to the people of our community.

You may have noticed a new shop appear in Scarborough: our new shop on Ramshill is now open for business! You can find the address and contact information for this shop, on our website. This shop is owned by Age UK North Yorkshire Coast and Moors, rather than the Age UK national branch, which means that all proceeds go directly into supporting local services and initiatives.
Furthermore, we have now launched the Veterans Hub, funded by the Veterans Foundation. This free advice and support service is open to everyone within the Armed Forces Community, regardless of age. Please check out our services page for more information!
