Age UK Stafford & District relies on support from individuals and companies to help us continue and develop our servies that improve the lives of local older people.
In order for us to provide additional or improved services for older people we need to raise the funds to do so. Funds come from a number of sources: charitable trusts, local fundraising, donations and legacies.
Age UK Stafford & District does not have a fundraising department to promote local fundraising, donations or legacies. It is only upon our reputation or where someone you know is in receipt of our services that leads to such gifts. We do not cold call or mailshot. Age UK Stafford & District is a local charity and is not a branch of a national charity so all funds go to local serices for local people. Many organisations are seeking your donation, but the number of people getting old and needing help and support out numbers those seeking help for other reasons.

Gift Aid The Gift Aid scheme is for gifts of money by individuals who pay UK tax. Gift Aid donations are regarded as having basic rate tax deducted by the donor. Charities or CASCs take your donation - which is money you've already paid tax on - and reclaim the basic rate tax from HHMRC on it's gross equivalent - the amount before basic rate was deducted.
