Watch this video produced by local TV & Media Students from Heart of Worcestershire College to help raise support for Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest’s Befriending Service and awareness of how people can get involved as ‘Befrienders’ (plus other volunteering roles) to help make a difference across North Worcestershire.
Would you like to get involved?
We would not be able to do what we do without the support and commitment of people like you! We have a range of different opportunities available - by volunteering with us you can make a real difference to the lives of local older people living in North Worcestershire and enable Age Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest to continue providing services to support them.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and support the work we do in the community.
Who can volunteer?
Almost anyone can be a volunteer. We have a wide range of roles and opportunities which suit different people and different skills.
How much time do I need to give?
It depends on the volunteer role you are interested in. Some people give an hour a week, other people do more.
What you can expect from us
A warm welcome to our team! We make sure that all of our volunteers receive appropriate training and that they have the ongoing support of a member of staff, we will also cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses for volunteers.
