Day Centre Volunteering
Whether you want to volunteer at one of our Social Hubs, Dementia Hubs or out on our Day Trips, we always welcome an extra pair of helping hands and we can promise that you will go home with a smile on your face, as there is nothing more rewarding than knowing you made a difference to someone's day.
At the day centres we provide all of our volunteers with the learning to gain core skills neccassary.
As a volunteer you are a valued member of the care team, and will therefore help to provide support to staff ensuring the best outcome for the client.
The roles of a volunteer at our Mainstream and Dementia Day Centres:
- Escorting clients on and off of the mini-bus
- Assisting with preparations for the day
- Encouraging customers to engage with activities
- Meeting and greeting service users and or their relatives
- Supporting staff during and after activities
- Assisting at meal times
- Escourting staff and clients on Day Trips
