Age UK Kent Rivers work with Vita Health and the NHS in order to assist with making client referrals to NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies - a FREE and confidential support service. Our Information & Advice team will support you in taking the first steps to make a referral, and provide weekly phone calls to support you through the process until you start your therapy treatment.

What is Talking Therapies?

NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies is a free and confidential support service, providing a range of evidence-based talking therapies and new ways of coping, tools, and resources to help people improve their mood and find ways to manage.

Who is eligible?

The service is open to people who are 17.5 years or over, registered with a GP in Kent and Medway and need support to manage their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

How do Age UK Kent Rivers help?

We understand that making a self-referral can be a daunting first step. Age UK Kent Rivers are here to support you through the process and provide weekly support until your Talking Therapies treatment starts. Our confidential Information & Advice service will provide reassurance, encouragement, and a friendly voice, helping you to feel supported throughout your journey to better mental wellbeing.

How to refer

To make a referral for support accessing Talking Therapies, call our friendly team for a confidential chat on 01795 532766 or email the team directly at IAenquiry@ageukkentrivers.org.uk. If you are making a referral on behalf of someone else, please make sure you have their consent before speaking to us.
