Our Wellbeing Hub, based in The Meadowside Centre in Dartford, provides social interaction and support services in a friendly, fun and supportive environment to older people living in North West Kent.

About the Wellbeing Hub

The Meadowside Wellbeing Hub runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm.

For a daily charge you can expect a full day, including a two-course lunch and refreshments throughout the day, as well as a variety of events and activities. Our menu comprises of freshly prepared two course lunch, using ingredients sourced from local independent suppliers.

There are a range of activities on offer during the day, including:

o Arts and crafts
o Cooking
o Reminiscence groups
o Board games, bingo and quizzes
o and much more!

Both centres boast accessible gardens where you can enjoy some fresh air, or maybe a little light gardening activity.

In-house Services

The following services are available at the Meadowside Centre:

o Footcare
o Bathing
o Transport
o In-house entertainment and events
o Outings

What is a Wellbeing Hub?

Whilst we can offer all of the above facilities and activities, we are not a direct care service, providing 'personal care'. We have very limited resources available to support people with needs that require more one-to-one staff support.

However, we do our very best to support each individual to achieve their personal goals wherever possible. We often work with other agencies and charities that might offer additional specific specialised support.

Each client using the Wellbeing Service will be allocated a Key Worker who works closely with the client and their family to complete a Support Plan that is regularly updated, noting individual preferences and needs.

It may be that you prefer us to visit you at home first, to explain the services in more detail and help us assess your requirements. Just let us know if you would prefer an initial home visit.

If you have not tried our fantastic day service before, then do come for a free Taster Day to see if the facilities we offer suit your needs - even enjoying a free hot lunch. We can assess how best to meet your needs, with your full involvement and choice, and will introduce you to some of the staff and existing people who already love and use our services.
