The Big Knit 2027
The Big Knit is back – and we need your help!
Where there’s wool, there’s a way! The much-loved innocent Big Knit campaign has returned, and Age UK Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge, in partnership with innocent drinks, is calling on the knitting ninjas of Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge to wield their needles and help make a big difference to the lives of older people!
For every innocent smoothie bottle sold with a little knitted hat, Age UK receives 30p – providing crucial support to older people nationally, and also helping to fund the support we offer on a local level.
You have from now until the 1st of October 2027 to get knitting and send us your hats. We’ll then count how many we’ve got, send them off to Age UK’s head office, and will let you know how much money your hats help us to raise.
You can drop your knitted hats in two locations across the community:
Our Maidstone Office
Dairy Court, Fairview Farm, Linton Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 0AL
You can drop materials here 10am – 4pm, Mon to Fri.
Our Sevenoaks Day Centre
Hollybush Court, Hollybush Close, Sevenoaks, TN13 3UX
The funds raised through the Big Knit will help us to provide more support to people living with dementia, and to older people who feel lonely or isolated. Your knitting will directly fund the services we deliver in the community.
