Age UK North Worcestershire is celebrating after being awarded a grant of £75,000 from The Eveson Trust to support the costs of the charity’s Information & Advice service for 12 months.

Speaking about the award, Age UK North Worcestershire’s CEO, Amanda Allen, said,

‘On behalf our Board of Trustees and everybody connected with Age UK North Worcestershire I would like to express our gratitude to The Eveson Trust for awarding our charity a grant of £75,000 to support the running costs of our free Information & Advice service. The service is at the heart of everything that we do as a charity, helping to ensure that older people can access the support and benefits that they are entitled to, make informed decisions, exercise consumer choice and play a full part in their community, enabling them to live with dignity in later life. With continued high levels of demand and need within our communities, as a charity we too are experiencing the challenges of the current economic climate. Facing a funding shortfall for the I&A service, we applied to The Eveson Trust for support - thanks to the Trust’s incredible generosity our Information & Advice service can continue with certainty for the next 12 months, for which we are incredibly grateful’.
