#BanishBlueMonday with a #BurstOfColour!

Age UK North Worcestershire is inviting local businesses and organisations to take part in its Burst of Colour Fundraiser!
The third Monday of January is often referred to as ‘Blue Monday’ and the ‘most-depressing-day-of-the-year’, with the Christmas and New Year Break over, resolutions broken and the cold, grey January weather.
This year Blue Monday falls on 19th January and, rather than being negative, Age UK North Worcestershire wants to turn this into a ‘positive’ by banishing the January Blues with a #BurstOfColour and raising funds to support the charity’s free Information & Advice service (as part of its £10k for I&A campaign)!
Our Information & Advice service provides older members of the North Worcestershire community with real, practical help, often at times when they are experiencing significant challenges and life-changing events. Our Advisers are trained to help people on a variety of topics (from social care, benefits advice, staying safe, warm and independent at home, plus support for carers), offering telephone and face-to-face support.
By choosing colour (and with a suggested donation of £2 from all those taking part) your business/ organisation could help raise much needed funds to support this free service, which in 2024/25 raised over £1.215m in annualised benefits for local people.
Please contact jo.hughes@ageuknorthworcs.org.uk if you would like to get involved. By joining us on Monday 19th January 2026 with a #BurstOfColour you can help to create brightness for members of your local community!
