Charity Shop Assistant Manager (Temporary Opportunity)

Want to join our Retail team? We are recruiting for a Temporary Assistant Manager, based at our High Street (Bromsgrove) shop but providing support across all of our North Worcestershire shops, when needed.

Job Title: Charity Shop Assistant Manager
Responsible to: Shop Manager and Head of Retail
Responsible for: Shop Volunteers
Location: Main base High Street (Bromsgrove) Charity Shop
Job Type: Temporary (6 months, with the possibility of review)
Hours per week: 19.5 hours per week (usually 3 days, will include some weekend working, with the possibility of additional hours to cover annual leave/ staff absences – to be discussed at interview )
Annual leave: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time hours)
Salary: £ 12.21 per hour (for people aged 21 and over)

Full driving licence and access to car required, as travel between shops will be part of the role

Job Purpose & Role

To assist the Shop Manager to ensure the efficient running of the Charity Shop, to enable Age UK North Worcestershire to raise funds towards services and support for local older people, by maximising sales and ensuring high standards of presentation and customer service. To provide a source of inexpensive, preloved items for the North Worcestershire community. The shop will also pass on referrals to Age UK North Worcestershire offices on request.
