Our Home Services provide a professional and reliable cleaning and shopping service helping you to stay independent.
Age UK Salford's Home Services provide a regular service to help with domestic tasks when you may need additional support, you are short of time due to work, carer or family responsibilities, you are disabled or living with ill health or you have been temporarily incapcitated through illness, bereavement or after a stay in hospital.
We employ trained and experienced Assistants/Cleaners all of whom are subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (police/criminal record check). The same Assistant/Cleaner will come to you every time.
You can tailor the service to suit your needs, from as little as one hour every fortnight, up to two hours or more each week. We will make every effort to schedule the service at a time most convenient to you.

Age UK Salford offers a professional and reliable cleaning and shopping service.
Our general household cleaning service can include kitchen and bathroom cleaning, polishing, dusting, vacuuming, ironing, bed linen changes, help with laundry, mopping and internal window cleaning.
We also offer a shopping service if you are unable to shop for yourself and would like regular shopping done for you. Customers prepare a shopping list and provide sufficient money to cover the cost of the purchases. Our Assistant will go to the shop/supermarket of your choice and bring back your shopping and any change. If you want, they can help you put your shopping away.
Additional services are available by arrangement and include basic handyman jobs, curtain hanging, help with administrative tasks, painting and decorating, prescription collection and sitting service.

We offer a competitive hourly charge and the service is delivered on a not-for-profit basis as one of our social enterprise activities to support older people.
Payments can be made by cash or cheque, directly to the Assistant/Cleaner. Alternatively you can pay by card over the phone or arrange for a monthly invoice to be sent to you/the person paying for the service.
