Our Here2Help service offers clients regular assistance with day to day tasks in their own homes.

Woman helping man with advice

What help can I get?

Within the home we can help you with tasks such as cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing, changing the bedding and preparing meals, including stocking up the freezer with home cooked dinners.

We can also offer assistance by taking you out shopping or going shopping for you.

How does it work?
One of our supervisors will visit you in your own home to discuss the service that is most suitable to your needs. We will then match one of our workers to you and they will come at times that are suitable to you.

We understand that it is important for you to feel confident about who comes into your home. We interview, take references and train all of our workers. All staff are PVG checked before entering your home and all workers carry an Age Scotland Orkney Identity badge.

Age Scotland Orkney will regularly review the service to ensure you are happy with the support you are receiving.

How often will I get help?
Each client is different in terms of the assistance they require. We offer a minimum of one hour per week but can visit as often as is needed.

We always aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate the individual needs of our clients.
