Our COGs (Cognitive Therapy) Club is for people living with mild dementia or memory problems. The club runs Fridays, 9.30am-2.30pm at The Marigold Centre, Folkestone.
COGs follows a 14 week programme of activities, stimulation, music and fun. The weekly sessions can continue for as long as the person can benefit from being part of the group.
For loved ones/carer’s COGs can proivde a day’s respite - members must be able to participate in activities, able to manage their own personal care and willing to join in with the group.
Cost: £15 per day which includes refreshments and a light lunch.

Rosie's Moments - NB Currently suspended due to coronavirus
This fortnightly Wednesday group, run by Jo, meets in the Bar at Folkestone Sports Centre and is for older people, those living with dementia and their carers. The two-hour session (10.00am - 12.00pm) starts with some gentle physical exercise in the Sports Hall, playing a range of games including kurling, boccia, table tennis (and its adapted form, Polybat), and is followed by coffee and biscuits in the Bar, with conversation, games, quizzes, puzzles or guest speakers. The £5 cost also includes a hot drink.
This is a drop-in session, so just turn up! The group meets in the Bar, adjoining the cafe, at 10.00am on alternate Wednesdays.
