Memory Cafes
Living with dementia or supporting a loved one who does can sometimes feel isolating. Our Memory Cafes are designed to change that. We provide a warm, friendly, and safe environment where people living with dementia and their carers can come together to socialise, share experiences, and enjoy themselves.
At Age UK Tunbridge Wells, we work hard to make sure our older community are never forgotten and always valued. Our Memory Cafes are a vital part of this, offering more than just a cup of tea, but a community that understands.
What happens at a Memory Cafe?
Our cafes are informal and welcoming. Please join us for:

Social connection: A chance to chat with others in a similar situation and build a local support network.

Stimulating activities: We offer a range of cognitive and physical activities designed to be engaging and fun, from music and quizzes to creative arts.

Expert advice: Our team is on hand to provide information about other local services and support available through Age UK Tunbridge Wells.

Respite for carers: A relaxed space where carers can take a break, share advice, and find mutual support.

Refreshments: Plenty of tea, coffee, and cake!
