Changes due to COVID-19
Due to the ever changing situation with Covid 19, we would like to reassure our clients and their families that we are still providing support and services to local older people. We have adapted our services to ensure we meet all the recommended precautions to avoid the spread of the virus whilst protecting our clients, our volunteers and our staff. We have also developed new services to help support older people during this critical time, including our new Community Hot Meal Service, our Welfare Check Service and our Digitally Connected Services. If you or someone you know could benefit from this help and support, then please do get in touch.
Many of our community based services can be delivered safely, at a safe social distance and all our staff have personal protective equipment such as face masks, sanitiser, and gloves.
Some services have been suspended because they cannot be delivered in a way that meets the current Government guidelines to avoid the spread of the virus. We are working hard to ensure people who rely on these services are supported.
If you are concerned or worried, feel lonely or socially isolated then please do get in touch on 01892 522 591.
Sandra Springett is the charity's Chief Officer:
"We are committed to helping older people in the community to stay safe and well in their own homes. We will prioritise those in the greatest need while protecting the safety and well-being of our staff and volunteers. We will continue to monitor updates on COVID-19 from the government and the NHS and act in accordance with their advice."
