Assistant Shop Manager
Hours of work: 22.5 hours (3 days over 7 days)
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Location: Worcester, WR1 2RA
Overview
- Support the shop manager in managing the day to day retail activities of the shop ensuring that it is both attractive and welcoming at all times.
- Support and, in the absence of the Shop Manager, supervise the activities of the volunteers on duty, including ensuring that all relevant policies, procedures and legislation is complied with at all times.
- Liaise with the general public, local traders and any other relevant party in a manner likely to enhance and further the work and reputation of Age UK.

Help at Home Assistant
Hours of work: Flexible hours are available as and when clients want the service
Salary: £12.75 per hour (plus paid travel time)
Location: South Worcestershire
Overview
Are you friendly, reliable, and passionate about supporting older people to live independently at home?
Join Age UK Wyvern’s Help at Home team and help make everyday life a little easier for older people across South Worcestershire.
Our Help at Home Assistants provide practical, non-personal care support to older people who need a helping hand with day-to-day tasks - helping them stay in their own homes, maintain their independence, and improve their wellbeing.
Every day is different! You’ll support clients with tasks such as:
- General housework and cleaning and tidying
- Laundry, ironing, and changing beds
- Shopping and running errands
- Preparing light meals and refreshments
- Taking clients to appointments or social activities
- Companionship — having a cup of tea and a chat
- Reading or writing letters and helping with paperwork
Please note: this role does not include personal care.

Shop Manager
Hours of work: 37.5 hours (5 days over 7 days) (some weekend work included)
Salary: £12.95 per hour
Location: Leominster, HR6 8ES
Overview
- Manage the day-to-day retail activities of the shop ensuring that it is both attractive and welcoming at all times.
- Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the shop ensuring that all monies are banked and accounted for in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that the shop is adequately staffed at all times.
- Ensure that the staff (including volunteers) and premises are compliant with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
- Liaise with the general public, local traders and any other relevant party in a manner likely to enhance and further the work and reputation of Age UK.
- Remain up to date with relevant developments in the retail / charity retail industry.
