Annie Smol has worked in inclusive theatre as an actor, director, facilitator and project manager over a career spanning 30 years. She was awarded an MBE for inclusion in theatre in 2017.

For the last 20+ years, she has been the CEO and then Associate Director of Face Front Inclusive Theatre developing a programme of accessible, multi-layered theatre both for and with disabled and non-disabled people of all ages, transforming lives.

She is now Co-Director of Jazanne Arts placing older people at the heart of her work using creative arts and reminiscence to improve resilience, wellbeing and quality of life. 

Annie is a safeguarding and mental wellbeing trainer and consultant.

Annie is on the advisory board for Blink dance theatre and on the Participatory Arts London steering group. 

Annie is delighted to be a trustee of Age UK Enfield and support the wonderful work achieved with and for older people.   She became Co-Vice-Chair in 2022.
