Catering Lead

Location: The William and Patricia Venton Centre, York Road, Northampton NN1 5QJ

Rate of pay: £13.26 per hour

Hours of work: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday | Potential for additional hours as the service grows

Are you an experienced caterer who enjoys creating great food and making a difference to people’s day?

We’re looking for a Catering Lead to take responsibility for the catering service at our William and Patrica Venton Centre. You’ll have the opportunity to develop the service, create imaginative and nutritious menus, and make food an important part of a welcoming community environment.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for:

Planning, preparing and serving fresh, nutritious two-course meals.
Catering for older people, community activities and events.
Planning menus and managing food orders, stock and waste.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Meeting dietary requirements and the needs of older people.
Developing and improving the catering service as the Centre grows.

About you

You’ll have:

Experience of catering for large groups.
A Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
Good planning, organisation and communication skills.
The ability to prepare varied and imaginative meals.
A passion for good food and providing an excellent service.
The confidence to work independently and take ownership of the catering service.
