Are you struggling with technology?

You are not alone in being ‘offline’, as latest figures show that 35% of adults aged between 50 and 70 and 70% of over 70s are in the same boat. Being excluded can often lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness.

What can we do?

We offer computer classes for older people who are looking to start using a computer for the first time or are looking to improve their skill set further.

We can also help you put together your digital Life Story.

How do we help?

We use volunteer tutors to deliver support and get you online through:
• Individual sessions at our Worcester and Malvern offices
• Group sessions in local community spaces
• If necessary, we can also lend you an iPad to use during your sessions

Benefits of being online

• Keep in contact with friends and family
• Sending and receiving emails
• Sharing photos and videos
• Watching your favourite films
• Joining in family video calls
• Filling in online forms and claims
• Browsing for information
• And more...

What is a Life Story?

• Life Stories Herefordshire and Worcestershire is an online platform that allows anyone living in either Herefordshire or Worcestershire to create their own digital life story book.
• A digital life story book is specially designed for ease of use and recording what is important to you. Create books, add photos and share with family or friends.

While people often think about life stories as being used to support people with dementia, capturing information about what is important to you can actually be interesting and relevant for anyone. There is evidence that it can make a difference for people across the lifespan, including not just people with dementia but those with learning disabilities and children who have been in the care system.
