What is Sheds Together?

Our Sheds Together projects, in association with Sheds Together Herefordshire, Men's Shed Association, Herefordshire Community Foundation, Talk Community Hubs, Bromyard Relief in Need, Bromyard Town Council, The Prince's Countryside Fund and Herefordshire Council are community spaces for over 50s to connect, chat and create. 

We have various projects available, across Herefordshire, that you can join. Including:

  • Make and Mend Workshops
  • Gardening Projects
  • Cookery Clubs

Make and Mend Workshops

What is it?

We aim to provide a social atmosphere, with the opportunity to use equipment in a supported way to Make and Mend items and learn new skills; benefiting from the expertise within the group.

Who is it for?

Our Make and Mend Workshop is open to anyone over the age of 50, with a capacity of 6 people at any given time.

Is there a cost?

Yes, £2.50 per session.

Tea, coffee and food is available in The Hope Centre Café. We will run a coffee boat within the workshop and everyone will be asked to chip in to replenish the boat as necessary. Please bring your own mug. You are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch.

Gardening Projects

What is it?

Come spring time we will be running two gardening-based projects that focus on outdoor and hands on based activities. You are also welcome to just come along for a chat and cuppa in the great outdoors.

Who is it for?

Those who enjoy being outdoors, gardening or like being hands on or those that would like to try growing your own vegetables, learn more about gardening or just meet like-minded people for a cuppa and a chat.

Is there a cost?

Yes, £2.50 per session (refreshments and materials will be provided as part of this charge).

Cookery Club

What is it?

Our Cookery Club is a Talk Community Hub run with support from Herefordshire Council. It is a place to learn new skills, make new friends, and get some great ideas for recipes on a budget. Please come along to meet, cook and eat together. We look forward to meeting you!

Who is it for?

Anyone over the age of 50 who enjoys cooking or would like to learn more about cooking on a budget. 

Is there a cost?

Yes, £2.50 per session (all ingredients and equipment is included).

When and where?

  • Bromyard Methodist Church, 20 New Road, Bromyard, HR7 4AJ
  • Mondays
    • 10am - 2:30pm
