Digital Inclusion and Technology Support

With more services moving online, Age UK City of London are here to help you get online and help with any questions you have about technology.
See below for our list of ways we can help you get online and recieve the tech support that you need
Barbican Library drop-in
Now and again, everyone needs a little bit of help with their tech. We offer a free drop-in support service at Barbican Library, every Tuesday evening 5.30pm - 7pm.
Whether you’re confused about updates, anxious about scams or want to know how to get the best out of your battery, our expert volunteers can help. Simply ask for us at the front desk when you come in.
Bring your phone, laptop or tablet along and don’t forget to charge it before you come. Complete beginners welcome. At busy times you may need to wait to be seen. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available.
Portsoken drop in
We offer a free drop-in service on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 2-4pm at Portsoken Community Centre. Simply turn up to get help with using your phone, tablet or laptop. We are based in the foyer of the community centre - you can't miss us! Don't forget to charge your device before you come.
Shoe Lane Library drop-in
We also run a free and friendly drop-in at Shoe Lane Library, 1 Little New Street (near City Thameslink) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 2-4pm
Just turn up and ask for Nik. He can help you with almost anything tech-related, be it installing an app, setting up a new email or backing up your photos.
One to one appointments
We now provide one-to-one support in the square mile to help you with any tech issues that you may be experiencing. This can range from choosing a device to best suit your needs, setting up a new device, learning how to download apps or getting wifi in your home.
Our one-to-one appointments are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Golden Lane Community Centre. Appointments are booked for 2pm, 2.30pm, 3pm and 3.30pm.

Tea and Tech sessions
We host monthly Tea and Tech sessions in various locations around central London. These sessions are hosted by teams of corporate volunteers, in their workplace, and refreshments and snacks are provided. It's a fun way to get help with using your phone or tablet and meet some new people at the same time. Recent hosts have included Gucchi and JLL. Booking is essential and places are limited. If you would like to attend please call Ciaran on 07816 407 804 or email digitalinclusion@ageukcityoflondon.org.uk
