Older People's Project Survey 2024

Published on 04 April 2024 07:45 AM

The Older People’s Project is a partnership between Age UK Cornwall and the Women's Centre Cornwall that aims to contact people over 60 who have experienced domestic abuse and can help improve support services across Devon and Cornwall.

We know that domestic abuse can happen at any age however, older people often feel their experiences and needs are not provided for.

To help combat this, we are inviting people, aged 60+ living in Cornwall or Devon, to take part in a survey about their lived experiences of domestic abuse. We want to understand your experiences and hear your voice and views about what was helpful and what needs to be improved. The project will work to ensure your voice is heard and it will make a difference to the services provided in the future.

The survey will ask you about yourself, your experiences of domestic abuse and your thoughts on what would be or would have been helpful to support you. What you tell us will directly help us to provide the support that people want and need, and to bring the realities of domestic abuse and its impacts out of the shadows, reducing the stigma, stereotypes and blame that are attached to this issue.

The survey is totally anonymous, and your answers will be treated in the strictest confidence.
