Mary's Story - Facing the loss of a loved one

Following the loss of her Husband, Mary bravely shared her story.
Mary's story, received by the Age UK Cornwall Active Living Support Service, highlights the power of connections following a loss.

The local Community Hub and our Active Living Service provided a comforting and empathic space for Mary to share her situation and feelings. By expressing her grief to a bereavement support group and support assistant, Mary was able to validate the pain being felt, gaining a sense of acceptance, reducing her isolation, and forming long-lasting connections.
